A Field Trip for Teachers: R.O.M – Indigenous Professional Learning Workshop

Organized by the knowledgeable and passionate, J'net Ayayqwayaksheelth, the day of learning will be tailored to the interests and needs of participants as indicated through a survey completed before the event.
Topics covered may include colonial history, respectful terminology, stereotypes/bias, historical and contemporary contribution, TRC Calls to Action, appreciation vs appropriation, the process of allyship and more.
Learning will take place through a workshop, guided tour as well as some hands-on time with museum artefacts.
(Limited to 45 participants and registrations will be accepted based on order of arrival)
