An Evening of Food Film and Conversation – Tues June 9 (AREC Event)

Join us for an engaging evening of connection, reflection, and inspiration for educators. Enjoy dinner with colleagues in a relaxed setting, followed by a screening of One Day (16 minutes)—a powerful short film about an Indo-Caribbean Muslim teen who escapes into daydreams to find her voice, until an unexpected classmate dares her to face her fears in real life.

The film invites deep thinking and meaningful conversation. Following the screening, take part in a dialogue with the film’s director—an opportunity to explore the themes, ask questions, and reflect on how the story connects to your own practice.
