African Centred Approach to the Dance Curriculum (PL Workshop)

This workshop will link the Black Student Success Strategy to the Dance Curriculum. It will provide opportunities to plan lessons surrounding themes of anti-Black racism, social justice and joy. This approach provides an opportunity to examine the movement of Dance through an African Centred approach, making connections to the African diaspora and various cultures and traditions seen in the curriculum. It allows for student voice to be heard and intersectionality to be celebrated.
