STPDL Funding

Short Term Professional Development Leave Fund (STPDL) is money negotiated into the Collective Agreement for elementary teachers to fund professional development.

The Peel District School Board has an STPDL committee and Chair in each of its (13) Superintendencies plus those working at centrally assigned locations. The committees meet on a monthly basis to process applications. Applications must be received with sufficient time to process before the conference.

Application form is available in a fillable PDF (downloadable below) & a Google Sheet Copy (Coming Soon). The electronic fillable application forms are for convenience, but actual signatures are required. You MUST print, sign (and get your administrator’s signature), and send to the Chair with all required documentation in ONE PDF or via the courier to your STPDL Chair’s location if applicable.

 Process:

1. Download and read the Guidelines
2. Download and complete the Application
3. Email it as a PDF to your STPDL Chair according to your Superintendency by the meeting date 

Please note for Summer 2025 STPDL all STPDL Chairs will have a final meeting on Monday, June 16, 2025. Applications for summer conferences & workshops must be received by this date to be processed.
