This workshop will focus on the impact that colonization has had on education through classroom practice and reflections using anti-racist, anti-Black racism lens within an anti-oppressive framework. This workshop will discuss three main themes, colonization, reflections on practice, and classroom practice and strategies. The participants will have a better understanding of the impact of colonization in the classroom and the processes for disrupting colonial practices within their own teaching.
